If the dealer includes installation in the price but does not provide adequate warranty for the installation, it may be time to look at other manufactured home dealers.

Find out what kind of warranty your builder offers and the items it covers. Manufactured home dealers are familiar with the local and regional building laws and will be able to guide you if you intend to add fixtures such as garages, decks, or porches. Most of the time, such enhancements are not included in the original price of the home. So you will need to incorporate these costs into your budget. Remember that choosing to place your home in a rental community might cause depreciation in resale value down the line. If you own the land, financing costs can be kept at a minimum and there is no compromise on the resale value.
